About Us

J B S Accounting Ltd was founded by James Balasingam. James worked as Accountant in some of the largest corporations in New Zealand, Tax Agents and then in a three partner Chartered Accountant Firm in New Zealand,  specialising in accounting & taxation services before setting up his own firm specialising in accountancy & taxation services for small businesses.

James qualified as Chartered Certified Accountant in London, United Kingdom. He studied New Zealand Taxation & Law and updates himself in New Zealand Taxation & Law. Apart from membership of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, James is also member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zeland. He is member of the Accountants & Tax Agents Institute of New Zealand and Member of the Institute of Directors New Zealand. 

These professional bodies requires mandatory continuous education to ensure current knowledge of legislation and practices thereby maximising client services. Members are required to follow the codes and ethics of these professional bodies.

James is also a registered Tax Agent with Inland Revenue New Zealand. His clients will have automatic extension of time to file their returns.

Membership of CA ANZ provides legal privileges as tax advisors. 

James holds a practicing certificate from the ACCA (UK) & CA ANZ and the Tax Agents Institute of New Zealand, attending the various seminars and meetings held every month by these professional bodies. There are various knowledge bases for James to draw from these institutes for his own advantage and for his clients.
